Gilly Girls Saturday September 7th
The Gilly Girls are an old-time, Americana, bluegrass, southern gospel band of four sisters made up of two sets of twins: Savannah and Morgan, 15, and Hailey and Jillian, 12. The family lives on a ranch in California’s Sierra Nevada foothills, and their love for traditional American music has grown out of their country life. Fresh off of performances at the California Bluegrass Association Father’s Day Festival in Grass Valley and Good Old Fashioned Bluegrass Festival in Hollister, the girls are coming to Monterey for the first time. With superb instrumental work and luscious sibling harmony, the Gilly Girls are not to be missed. Performing together since 2015 these young women have super stage presence and a polish beyond their years.
The event includes a public jam, with pickers and grinners welcome from 4pm. The Monterey United Methodist Church will host a Tri-tip dinner from 5:30pm-6:30pm. The cost for the meal is $10 in advance and $15 at the door and benefits the church.
Please join Gilly Girls for a night of music at Monterey United Methodist Church at 7pm on Saturday September 7th.
